The region's economy continues its growth streak, albeit at a slower pace. The reported Monday that employment for the Washington region rose 0.9 percent, or 27,600 jobs, from January 2007 to January 2008. It was the 67th straight month -- a streak stretching back to July 2002 -- that year-over-year measures have shown an increase in jobs.
